Two men arrested after allegedly crashing into Ballajura homes, missing sleeping children
Two men have been arrested after allegedly fleeing a car which ploughed into family homes — narrowly missing sleeping children — in Perth’s north.
The Subaru smashed into the Hamelin Street properties this morning.
Two men, aged 28 and 29, have been taken into custody and are being questioned by investigators.
CCTV footage captured from neighbouring homes show the Subaru losing control after striking a road-side curb, hitting an road island before reducing concrete garage pillars to rubble as it slammed into the homes.

Witnesses said the car’s driver and passenger ran from the crash when confronted by lookers.
Matthew Jeffery said he chased the pair when they fled on foot.
“I followed them in my car through the backstreets (behind the family homes) but there is so many dead ends,” he told 7News.
Osama Abdalla was shocked to see the men get out of the crashed car seemingly uninjured and said they ran “as if nothing had happened to them.”
“I have no idea how they got out of it, they did not look hurt one bit,” he said.
“They started running (away) as if I don't know (the crash had just happened).”
