Woman killed by garbage truck in Sydney
A woman has been killed in Sydney's west after being hit by a garbage truck.
Emergency services were called to Gurney Road in Chester Hill just after 8.30am today after reports a pedestrian had been injured.
Paramedics attempted to revive the woman but she died at the scene.
Police have established a crime scene and the garbage truck driver is undergoing mandatory testing.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
