Woman charged with murder of nine-month-old boy
A 34-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a baby boy who was found dead in Ipswich last year.
Paramedics located the body of the nine-month-old at a property on Sonter Street, in Raceview, on June 21, 2019.
A major investigation was established into the death and this morning the woman was charged with murder, interfering with a corpse and failing to provide the necessities of life.
"We'll be alleging that the cause of death was as a result of neglect," Detective Inspector David Briese said.
The woman is also facing charges relating to her treatment of the boy's twin brother and older sister.
Police are also appealing for a 41-year-old man who also resided at the Raceview address to come forward.
The 34-year-old woman will face court in Ipswich tomorrow.
