Queensland heatwave reaches peak, cooler day expected

A heatwave is sweeping Queensland but some relief is expected to come today.
Rockhampton had its hottest February day in 50 years yesterday, topping 41 degrees, while, Brisbane's temperatures climbed four degrees above average.
There will be a slight reprieve today, with Brisbane warming up to 32.
Overnight a dramatic storm with thunder and lightning hitting the city,
The heat will remain across Western Australia today with Port Headland to reach 41 degrees and Perth is expected to hit 36 degrees.
