Man arrested over alleged attempted murder in Sydney's west
A 54-year-old man has been arrested over the alleged attempted murder of a father in Sydney's west.
Police discovered a 44-year-old man in a critical condition inside his car on Happ Street, Auburn, around 1.30am on Monday.
He was suffering serious injuries after being stabbed in the neck, chest and stomach.

Paramedics were called and the victim was rushed to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
It is understood he requires more surgery and is not yet well enough to tell police details about the attack.
Today police returned to the area to search for clues.

As part of their investigation, detectives spoke with seven residents of an Auburn home.
Of those in the group, the 54-year-old man was singled out and arrested.
Officers established a crime scene and have continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
