Zac Efron reportedly looking to buy Byron Bay property The Boardwalk after hiding out during COVID-19 pandemic
After rumours circulated that Zac Efron was looking to buy the Byron Bay home he’s reportedly been hiding out in during the COVID-19 pandemic, we just HAD to see what all the fuss was about.
The High School Musical star sent Australians into overdrive with speculation he’s been spotted multiple times in the New South Wales beachside town over the last month.
While there’s no photographic evidence the A-lister has been living Down Under, The Sunday Telegraph on Sunday confirmed that Efron has been in Australia and is now looking to put down roots.
Efron reportedly spent up to five weeks at The Boardwalk in the suburb of Broken Head - a town very, very close to Byron Bay, only 10 minutes to be exact.
The Boardwalk boasts 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, hosting up to 14 guests - or one Hollywood heavyweight.
Sold as ‘the ultimate beachfront destination’ by Byron Beach Retreats, The Boardwalk has private beach access, a heated magnesium pool and spa, and expansive lush tropical gardens.
The nightly rate at the lavish property is just under $2000 per night.
Australian influencer Tarsha Whitmore reportedly spotted the Hollywood hunk at a Byron Bay cafe on June 18.
“Don’t mean to alarm anyone but Zac Efron was literally eating in the same cafe as me when this was taken,” the 19-year-old captioned an Instagram snap, tagging in the beachside town.
Efron was last papped in his Los Angeles hometown on January 25.
