Australian celebrity couple Dan MacPherson and Zoe Ventoura have announced they are parting ways after five years of marriage.

The pair posted a statement about their decision on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of themselves silhouetted against a sunset, on each of their accounts.

“With the greatest respect for each other, Dan and I have separated. Together, we will continue wholeheartedly to raise our beautiful boy Austin. He is, and will forever be, our greatest priority,” Ventoura said.

The couple met in 2011 on the set of Channel 7’s Wild Boys and were married in 2015.

Their son Austin Xavier was born last year.

MacPherson, 40, is best-known for his role as Joel on Neighbours from 1998 to 2002, and won a Logie in 1999 for most popular new talent.

Ventoura, 39, is known for her role as Melissa on the Channel 7 series Packed to the Rafters, which she starred in from 2008 to 2010.

She was nominated for a Most Popular Actress Logie in 2011 after her character’s death.
