Who is Lord Buckethead?
As Boris Johnson thanked his supporters after retaining his seat of Uxbridge in the UK election, all eyes were on his unique opponents.
Mr Johnson this afternoon held his seat in the suburban town in west London with more than 25,000 votes, ahead of Labour's Ali Milani with 18000 votes. Another of Mr Johnson's opponents, Lord Buckethead, won 125 votes.
Those familiar with UK politics will know the unconventional candidate.
Lord Buckethead is described as a British satirical political candidate and claims to be an intergalactic space lord who represents the Official Monster Raving Loony Party.
He has been a fixture in UK politics since 1987 when he ran against former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. He ran under the Gremloids party in 1987.
He reportedly campaigned to demolish Birmingham to make way for a spaceport. He scored 131 votes during the 1987 general election. Three individuals have portrayed Lord Buckethead since 1987.
Buckethead has also stood against former PM John Major in 1992 and Theresa May in 2017.
During this election campaign, Buckethead was challenged by "space warrior" Count Binface who claimed to be 5965 years old. Binface is the creation of British comedian Jon Harvey and scored 69 votes.
A man dressed in a giant Sesame Street Elmo costume also ran against Mr Johnson. 'Elmo' scored eight votes, and appeared to be more interested in taking a selfie during Mr Johnson's speech.
