Cobra spits up four eggs trying to escape rescuers at Indian chicken
A snake spat up four eggs while trying to flee after being caught at a chicken farm in east India. On the morning of October 8, Rakesh Kumar Mohalik, a biologist at Keonjhar wildlife division got a call from Manoj Hansda of Kaptipada village in Mayurbhanj District, Odisha. According to the caller a Spectacled Cobra (identified by its hood marks) entered their chicken farm and had killed a chicken and was threatening the other birds. Mohalik rushed to the scene and found the snake had swallowed 4 out of 13 eggs. After being caught the cobra spat up the eggs to make a quicker escape, but was promptly restrained, bagged and relocated nearby by Mohalik's team.
