Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons sends NBA fans into meltdown with ripped Instagram photo
Australian NBA star Ben Simmons has sent tongues wagging by showing off his insane post-pandemic gym body, with the Philadelphia champ being labelled “bigger than LeBron”.
The basketball export shared the ripped snap with his 5 million Instagram followers overnight, ahead of the NBA season return, captioning the post: “Let’s rumble. (sic)”.
The 23-year-old - who was taken at pick one in the 2016 NBA draft - has been a dominant force in the league since his debut, but was expected to miss the majority of the regular season will a lower-back injury.
But the coronavirus shutdown has worked in his favour, allowing Simmons to get back to full health, as well as add on some extra muscle, if the viral snap is anything to go by.
Simmons’ Philadelphia 76ers are one of 22 teams locked in for the NBA season return at DisneyWorld in Florida, resuming on July 31.
Having their superstar point guard back and in the best shape of his career will no doubt be a huge advantage for the sixth-placed 76ers, who could pose a huge threat to their Eastern Conference rivals.
But Simmons’ ripped figure didn’t just catch the attention of Philadelphia fans, with the post leaving social media in awe.
Former ESPN NBA writer Chris Martin Palmer said Simmons was “bigger than LeBron” and that he was “gonna own the paint” when he returns to the court.

“Any degree of distance from the hoop,” one user wrote.“The three point line!,” another said.
An NBA fan even took a cheap shot at Simmons, saying the only thing that could stop the Aussie was “Kendall Jenner,” referencing his past relationship with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star.
