Mum found dead in burned-out Ballarat home was 'murdered'
A man has been charged with murder after a body was discovered in the ruins of a regional Victorian house fire.
Emergency services were called to a Mount Pleasant property about 8am on Friday to find the property ablaze.
After extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered the body of mother-of-two Dannyll Goodsell.
Authorities say Ms Goodsell, who moved to Victoria some years ago, suffered serious injuries prior to her death.
A police investigation subsequently led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man yesterday.
The man has been charged with murder and is expected to face Ballarat Magistrates Court today.
Meanwhile, friends and family have paid tribute to Ms Goodsell online, with a fundraiser setup to support her family.
