HOCKING resident Laura Coles (32) won a silver medal in the women’s shotgun skeet final at the Oceania Championships last weekend behind New Zealand’s Chloe Tipple.

Coles also registered a minimum quota score at the November 3 competition on the Gold Coast.

According to Shooting Australia, she is a hot favourite to win selection in the Australian team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Coles, who started shooting when she was 15, won a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
