The teenager almost lost five teeth in the attack, which was preceded by ugly racist taunts from an opposition player.
“The bloke turned around and said ‘watch out, you’ve got a shadow following you’,” Mr Aker told Nine News.
“I walked up to him and said ‘are you trying to be racist?’
“And he’s like ‘yeah I am, what are you going to do?’ And I started pushing him.”
Mr Aker, who fled Sudan with his family 14 years ago, was left with a fractured jaw and needed stitches in his gums and lips.
Five of his front teeth were dislodged during the alleged attack.
He said the incident left him questioning his playing future.
“I want to go back and play but I’m really scared its going to happen again,” he said.
“No one deserves to be treated the way I was, it’s 2018 we should be moving on from this.”
Mr Aker’s mother, Chagai Gum Malong, said the incident was “painful” to watch.
“No one deserves to be put down because they were born a certain way,” she said.
Haileybury College Principal Derek Scott said: “The incident that occurred on Saturday, 16 June is currently being investigated by the school and we cannot comment further.”
