Aldi recalls milk ball products
Aldi supermarkets in NSW and the ACT are recalling their Whoppers products after undeclared allergens were found in them.
The NSW Food Authority says the milk balls sold in 141g cardboard boxes contain allergens milk, wheat, barley, peanuts and tree nuts.
The allergens can cause severe reactions in some people, including potentially deadly anaphylaxsis.
Australia’s Food Standard Code requires allergens to be declared on the labels of food containing them.
They are sold at selected Aldi stores in NSW and all ACT supermarkets.
In a statement the supermarket giant said: "Aldi takes product quality and safety seriously and wishes to advise all customers of a recall of Whopers 141g product with all best before date."
Customers who have purchased Whoppers should return them to the store for a full cash refund.
Anyone concerned for their health should seek medical advice
