Woman plunged to death from hotel balcony
A woman has died after falling from a hotel balcony in Sydney's CBD overnight.
Emergency services were called just after 8pm yesterday to a hotel on Sussex Street, following reports a woman had fallen from a tenth-floor balcony.
Officers and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended found the body of a woman on a level one rooftop.
The woman, believed to be 45, was declared dead and is yet to be formally identified,
A crime scene has been established which continues to be forensically examined.
The woman fell to her death from a hotel close to Sydney's Darling Harbour. (Nine)
A 48-year-old man – known to the woman – was arrested at the scene and taken to Day Street Police Station.
He has since been released pending further investigation.
Detectives are investigating the woman's death and are appealing for anyone with information or who was in the area at the time to come forward.
