Woman allegedly blows six times the limit after crashing into pub fence

A woman who crashed into a fence at the Belrose Hotel allegedly blew more than six times the legal blood-alcohol limit.

Officers from the Northern Beaches Police Area Command were called to a carpark on Hews Parade about 12.30am on Tuesday following reports of a crash.

Police were told a woman, driving a Mazda sedan, reversed the car into a fence while attempting to leave the carpark.

The 48-year-old woman returned a positive breath test and was taken to Dee Why police station where she returned a reading of 0.306, more than six times the legal blood-alcohol limit.

The woman, from Frenchs Forest, was then taken to Manly police station and charged with high-range drink-driving and breaching bail.

Her licence has been suspended.

She was refused bail and will appear before the Manly Local Court on Tuesday.
