Triple murderer Matthew De Gruchy released on parole
Triple killer Matthew De Gruchy has walked free from jail on parole after 23 years behind bars.
De Gruchy, now 41, bashed his mother, brother and sister to death in their home in Albion Park Rail, in the NSW Illawarra region, in 1996.
He left Long Bay jail in a car just after 7.30am today.

In sentencing De Gruchy, Justice Michael Grove said the "seemingly frenzied" attack by the then-18-year-old involved "brutality that beggars description".
In July, the NSW State Parole Authority said De Gruchy's behaviour in custody "has been close to exemplary with only two infringements of discipline in 23 years"
"He has achieved the most favourable security classification, entitling him to take part in external day and weekend leave and work release," the parole authority ruled.
Parole was opposed by the NSW government due to the seriousness of the offences.
More to come.
