Three-year-old found dead in daycare mini-bus in Cairns
A three-year-old boy has been found dead in a daycare mini-bus in Cairns.
Police said it was believed the toddler was discovered in the parked vehicle outside a school on Stokes Street about 3.15pm.
It is believed he was due to be taken to a daycare centre in Edmonton at some point today.
"Investigations are currently continuing to work out the circumstances around that death," Detective Inspector Jason Smith said.

"It's early days and a number of factors could be at play here and we'll investigate all possibilities.
"The death of any child is an awful thing which is why it's so important for us to get to the bottom of this."
The boy's mother has been notified.

The Child Protection Investigation Unit is investigating with the help of a number of agencies.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
