Police charge man over Malaga BMW chase crash
POLICE have charged a 24-year-old Aveley man over an evade police incident which ended with a BMW sedan being torn in two during a spectacular crash.
On Thursday, police tried to stop a BMW sedan on Wellington Road in Morley, but the driver allegedly accelerated away, evading police until it rammed a police vehicle on Beach Road in Malaga.
Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median strip onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a Hyundai, injuring the driver and passenger.
The driver of the BMW was arrested at the scene and then taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
The driver and passenger of the Hyundai were also taken to hospital.
The Aveley man faces multiple charges, including two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
