Police arrest teenagers as young as 13 after motorway pursuit
Four teenagers who are linked to robberies and a stabbing have been arrested after they were pursued in what’s believed to be a stolen car.
Police chased the Volkswagen Polo GTI on the M5 in Hurlstone Park in Sydney’s south-west about 1.45pm.
With the help of a helicopter, the car was tracked to a house on Harcourt Avenue, East Hills.
Police said the three boys and a girl are believed to be linked to a string of robberies in Zetland, Waterloo and Stanmore and a stabbing in Leichhardt, all over the past week.
The 13-year-old girl is well known to police.
In April, she skipped a curfew placed on her, and was shot at a friend's house in Old Guildford after the property was targeted in a drive by attack
One of the men, aged 17, was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition after falling down some stairs during today’s operation.
The remaining suspects were taken to Bankstown Police Station.
Police have set up a crime scene at the East Hills house as they recover suspected proceeds of the robberies.
