Man, 21, found dead in Sydney home, teen rushed to hospital
A young man has died of a suspected overdose and a teenager rushed to hospital after the pair were found at a Sydney home after being involved in a crash 12 hours earlier.
Emergency services were called to Collins Place, Engadine, after reports of concern for the welfare of the duo about 3.45pm.
Police said when they arrived they found a 21-year-old man dead and a 17-year-old boy unconscious.
The teen was treated at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police are investigating whether the 21-year-old died of a drug overdose.
Officers seized a number of items from the home, which will undergo forensic analysis.
Police said they had been told the men were involved in a crash about 2.30am on Tuesday where a VW Amarok ute crashed into the fence of a house on Kingswood Road, Engadine.
Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command are investigating and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
