Japanese clothing brand UNIQLO to open first Perth store on August 30
UNIQLO, the cool and quirky Japanese clothing brand with a devout global following, will open its first Perth store on August 30.
The bright 1290sqm store at the Murray Street end of the overhauled Plaza Arcade will rejuvenate a lacklustre part of the CBD, and excite shoppers who have had to buy the brand online or on holiday.
UNIQLO is known for its technical fabrics and well-constructed ranges that conjure the Japanese principles of simplicity, quality and longevity.
Its designer collaborations and down jackets and vests, along with its UT T-shirts featuring pop culture patterns and prints from the likes of Sesame Street and Marvel, are highly coveted.
Tracey Lang, marketing director of UNIQLO Australia, said they anticipated big crowds on opening day.
