Eggs recalled after salmonella alert
Fears of salmonella contamination have forced NSW Food Authority to recall two brands of eggs sold in western Sydney.
The recall affects the Country Fresh Eggs, Just Eggs products and Chef’s Choice free range and cage free products.
They are sold at Flemington Markets and the Egg Basket outlet in Kemps Creek.
The use-by date markings of the affected egg cartons are June 14 2019, June 20 2019, June 24 2019, June 29 2019, July 5 2019 and July 9 2019.
Salmonella in food can cause illness when eaten, the NSW Food Authority warns.
Anyone concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
Contaminated products should be thrown out or returned to their source of purchase for a refund.
