Camperdown fire: Blaze engulfs factory
Thick smoke has blanketed parts of Sydney's inner-west after a fire at a Camperdown factory.
The blaze started at the single-level building on the corner of Australia Street and Elton Lane about 9.30am today.
Plumes of black smoke and flames could be seen coming from the roof of the building.
Around 25 firefighters worked to contain the blaze and stop it spreading to neighbouring premises.
Some residents from nearby properties were evacuated as a precaution.
Local traffic diversions were put in place, with motorists urged to avoid the area.
