Brisbane siege ends as man led away in handcuffs
A siege in a suburban Brisbane street has ended with the arrest of a man seven hours after officers were called to the home in Everton Hills.
The man is understood to have taken his female accomplice hostage following an alleged bungled armed robbery.

Th arrest comes after police issued an emergency declaration for the streets surrounding Atrium Way just after 6am, with residents warned to stay in their homes.
They had initially been called to the home following reports of an armed robbery just before 4am.
A large number of police officers attended the scene, including specialist police negotiators and the Public Safety Response Team, and negotiated with the man.

He is understood to have been armed with a bladed weapon.
The four adult residents of the home were able to escape unharmed.
The woman was not harmed during the incident and the pair are now assisting police with their inquiries.
