16-year-old cyclist killed when bike collides with 4WD on Bussell Highway

A 16-year-old boy has died after his bike collided with a four-wheel drive on Bussell Highway south of Bunbury on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at 3.55pm at the intersection of Bussell Highway and Jaymon Road in Stratham when a grey Mitsubishi Outlander collided with the mountain bike.

The 16-year-old cyclist died at the scene while the driver of the Outlander — a woman in her 40s — was not injured.

Detectives from the major crash squad would like to speak to anyone who saw the 4WD or the bike in the area prior to the crash.
