The Jungle Collective’s hip indoor plant sale party at The Old Pickle Factory
JUST when you thought indoor plants could not get any more hip, The Jungle Collective garden team go and announce a Perth warehouse sale.
Taking place at The Old Pickle Factory in West Perth on October 6 and 7, this sale – dubbed Springtime Splendour – will be unlike any other.
Celebrating greenery – with a huge array of indoor goodies, including rare varieties – it also honours the joy of partying.
Melbourne-based creators Linda Vydra and partner Josh O’Meara said guests could expect a festive atmosphere with “jungle bangers booming”.
“At the end of the day it’s all about having fun,” Vydra said.
Vydra said the plants were fresh and of high quality and horticulturalists would work the floor and man the Facebook page for aftercare support.
She remained ‘hush hush’ about what rare plants would be available.
“We announce our rare species leading up to the event via our Facebook page so we ask that people follow The Jungle Collective to find out what gems we were able to get our hands on,” she said.
“We’ve travelled half the country specifically sourcing rare plants for this sale, so we’re excited to soon share our breakthroughs.”
Vydra said one of her favourite unusual shrubs of the minute was cercestis mirabilis, featuring incredible patterned foliage.
She and O’Meara began the collective in Melbourne last year and were amazed by the response.
“We launched the event on Facebook and invited all our friends and family,” she said.
“We sold out completely in one-and-a-half hours and that’s how The Jungle was born.”
The is Perth’s second pop-up sale; the first was in June.
Tickets are free and must be booked to help manage the flow of visitors.
They are available through The Jungle Collective Facebook event wall from Oct 1 at 12pm.
