Video shows drivers brawling before road-rage stabbing
Video has emerged of a road rage confrontation that ended with a driver being stabbed on Sydney's M7.
Stunned motorists filmed as the drivers of a Toyota Hilux and a Corolla traded verbal insults and blows on the motorway in Glendenning about 4.15pm on Friday.
During the scuffle, a 42-year-old man was slashed in the abdomen as his wife and child watched on.
He attempted to drive himself to hospital but called paramedics after pulling over on Bungarribee Road in Doonside.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
The attacker drove from the scene in an orange Toyota Corolla. He is now wanted by police for questioning.
Police were told the Corolla driver had earlier thrown an object from his car window.
"It appears to be completely random at this stage, but bear in mind but we've only spoken to one party at this stage," Acting Inpsector Steve Vuletas said.
"They would indicate to us it was a random incident, we only have that party's version so obviously if the other party wants to come forward and speak to police, they'd certainly be welcome to."
Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
