Teenager charged over sick kangaroo punching video
A teenager has been charged after he was filmed allegedly punching an injured kangaroo, which later died, in southern NSW.
Police believe the video, which has been widely shared on social media, was filmed in Woomargama National Park between Albury and Wagga Wagga – in late January 2019. The man was arrested at 4pm yesterday at his home on Croft Street, Holbrook, after he contacted police.
He was charged with commit an act of cruelty upon an animal and harm or attempt to harm a protected animal. He was granted bail to appear at Holbrook Local Court in March.
Police said they also expect to charge another person.
