Big Brother 2020 recap: Zoe George voted out as Alpha Bogans lose another member
It is 3:30am. Shane goes to have a chat with Big Brother. Big Brother is up which begs the question - when does Big Brother sleep? We all know this is a real person right? The house is not alive. It’s a TV show. We all remember this, yes? Anyone?
This next day, Big Brother announces that the girls have been spending up to five hours a day in the bathroom applying make up. Five. Hours. A. Day.
So Big Brother gives the boys two hours of man bathroom time with the girls getting one toilet pass. The girls are very upset about this.
Food shopping challenge! The housemates have to fill a rain gauge with water from the storm, but they have to use their bodies to collect the water. This is very difficult.
Big Brother calls Daniel into the diary room and tells him Chad has a pedometer in his microphone and Daniel needs to convince Chad to walk 12km in the next 24 hours - without Chad knowing.
Big Brother says this will be hard because Chad is very good looking.
But as Daniel says “He is a beautiful man but he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed.”
Daniel speaks the truth. Chad does seem completely oblivious to the fact the rest of the house is making him run like a sheep dog. In fact, he LOVES it.
The housemates manage to get Chad to cover 14.4km. But… Sophie made a comment to him about step counts and so Big Brother is not going to give them the extra $50.
Sophie gets really upset and Chad goes to comfort her. Nice, good looking, not too bright. Chad is the perfect man.
It’s challenge time! The housemates have to keep a ball on a thing using their leg and that’s the best description you are going to get.
Marissa wins! This is bad for the Alpha Bogan group. She nominates Mat, Xavier and Zoe.
Zoe is very sad because she is a mean teacher and the Alpha Bogans are very popular.
The Alpha Bogans have a meeting where they are all: “You know how Zoe was in our gang, well, she’s not IN in, right?
“‘Cos we are like the popular kids and she’s like that weird teacher who wants to be friends with the popular kids”.
Meanwhile, Zoe thinks she can “trust my squad”. She can’t.
Shane wants to take out Mat. He points out that no one can win against Mat if it came down to a public vote because he’s from Broken Hill. For some reason everyone seems to agree this is a strong argument.
They go to the nomination room and Sonia chats to each nominee, it goes something like…
Zoe: I’m not a regular mum, I’m a fun mum!
Xavier: I am very boring
Mat: Oi Aussie cobber strewth! Bum.
Shane thinks if Australia votes they will vote for Mat, which… might be depressing but true?
Xavier gets one vote, Mat gets five and Zoe six and so she is out, Shane’s strategy has failed, but then again, if Zoe is the one vote for Xavier — which she probably is —she really dudded herself because if she had voted Mat it would’ve been a tie. What happens then? Double eviction? They both stay? How would they settle this in Broken Hill? — Guess we’ll never know.
Either way, the Alpha Bogan group has lost another member. All we can say is WHY didn’t Marissa put up Daniel instead of Zoe?
“I can’t believe Kieran is staying longer than me,” Zoe says as she wheels her back out.
Fair call Zoe, totally fair.
