Myer reopens Joondalup and Carousel stores after coronavirus shutdown

Myer is set to reopen two more of its Perth stores on Friday as it gradually resumes trade in WA.

The department store’s Joondalup and Carousel shops will be the latest to reopen, joining the Morley and Garden City outlets which invited customers back last week.

In compliance with Government regulations, beauty appointments will remain suspended, as well as bra, suit and shoe fittings.

With sales severely impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown, Myer temporarily closed all 60 of its stores at the end of March, which resulted in 10,000 of its employees being stood down.

The department store giant said it has increased cleaning and implemented social distancing measures across its stores. Customers will also have access to hand sanitiser, and face masks, gloves and sneeze guards have been made available for its employees.

Myer’s Perth City and Karrinyup stores will remain closed.
