Leandlease employees lend a hand at Patricia Giles Centre
THE grounds of Patricia Giles Centre were given a tidy up as part of a recent community day.
About 20 Lendlease employees visited the northern suburbs family domestic violence refuge to repaint walls, revamp garden beds, paint a basketball court and clean.
They also created a mural to add colour and vibrancy to the children’s playground area.
“To some people, the idea of a refuge is completely different to what they experience when coming to Patricia Giles Centre,” manager Lorraine Kelly said.
“It is priceless seeing the faces of families when they walk into our grounds and are welcomed by a clean, safe environment where the kids are comfortable and happy.”
Now in its 23rd year, Lendlease’s Community Day enables employees to work alongside their colleagues, community partners, families and suppliers to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
